Red’s, lace & velvet with a grunge edge reflect the coming season’s trends.
Ambassador Jesinta Franklin said she loved to bring the fashion shows and designers to the Melbourne crowd. “I really believe fashion shouldn’t just be for the elitist, or someone who is on a VIP list. It should be accessible to everyone,” she said.
“Red is a massive trend for autumn-winter,” Franklin said. “I love the frills, I love the velvet, I love the lace.” While a native of Sydney, Franklin loves coming to Melbourne. “People in Melbourne have a great sense of their own personal style,” she said. “Sydney is really trend driven – whatever you see on the runway is exactly what girls are wearing, which isn’t a bad thing. But in Melbourne they change it up a bit.”
